We are on a confirming kick today!
We know when our teaser site went live all we told you is that Team StarKid would be at LeakyCon 2012. We haven’t said much else yet, because our plans are intense! There will be a whole StarKid track which is free with registration; many autograph sessions (free, though subject to rules, which we will make available closer to the conference), a marquee StarKid event, content of which will be revealed closer to the conference (which will be a $30 additional ticket, free for RockStars), and MORE. We will have the ticket to A Very StarKid Event (II) open soon. Meanwhile, here are the StarKids we can so far CONFIRM will be at LeakyCon 2012. We say “so far” because the general idea is to get as many of them as humanly possible to the event!

From my knowledge, the StarKid event IS included in the Rockstar passes. That’s what I took “All Access” to mean.
So happy to see this list. I asked Darren about LeakyCon this past Tuesday (wishy washy answer of course) and my friend asked Walker, Matt, Denise, Meredith, Jim, and Corey about it yesterday. Good to see a solid basic list filled with so many of them

Is there only a very limited number of tickets to A Very StarKid Event?
Do Rockstars have to sign up for Starkid performing or it is just an automatic go? Also have I mentioned I’m excited? Cause I am? Like not just for Starkid but just to be with everyone again? Like let me die? Is it August yet?
Is the Very Starkid Event going to cost extra for non-rockstars? And when you say free autograph sessions, will they also be free for non-rockstars, and will autographs cost extra?
So sorry, I feel like I am spamming you with questions, but it’s my first LC, and I had to beg for this ticket, so I’m a little worried about extra costs.
And one more thing… will there be somewhere that we can purchase Potter/StarKid/LC12 merch?

@Reagan, the autograph sessions should be free for non-rockstars (you might just have a longer wait in line). The Starkid event is an additional $30 for non-rockstars. Also last year they had a vendor room that sold oodles of Potter/Starkid/LC11 merch that was a nerd’s one stop shop for awesome things. There are extra little fees and things here and there for non-rockstars but if you really want to go to something, it’s worth it. No worries, it’s seven months away and it’s going to be amazing. One thing I learned last year is that you can plan and plan and worry and worry and panic but when you get there it really all just falls into place. Keep calm…it’s gonna be totally awesome! <3
What day is the A Very Starkid Event? and also, do you have to purchase a ticket to leaky con to go to the A Very Starkid Event? Is there a way to buy only a ticket to A Very Starkid Event and not for the entire thing?
Last year all the Starkid shenanigans could be attended on one day with a day pass. Do you think a multi day pass would be needed to partake in all things on the Starkid track?

For everyone hoping for Darren to appear…I met him at the Stagedoor when he was on Broadway and asked him about LeakyCon and if he was excited. He said yeah before back-peddling. So…I think there’s hope but we must know that there’s a large chance he wont make it (And maybe not even because of Glee. There’s the rumor he’ll be asked to reprise the role of Finch on Broadway in the summer. If he has that chance…who are we to say he shouldn’t take it? I mean…it’s BROADWAY.)
Also – this list should be updated with Corey. Because he’s totally awesome. And needs to be on the attending list of StarKids. Yep.
I’m throwing a huge LeakyCon launch party the night before if anyone is interested. It’ll be on August 8th, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Buddy Guy’s Legends (across the street from the hotel).

Jim, at worst, MAY make you feel awkward. And I only say “may” because, when I met him, I had every intention of saying “hello, I enjoyed the show, thank you for a fantastic evening” and then moving on, just like I’d done for everyone else. When we actually started a conversation, I didn’t really expect it, so there was a lot of stuttering on my end. Then the fact that I attended the S.P.A.C.E. Tour came up and he asked about my experience and what could be done to make it better. Obviously I didn’t have an answer to that; it’d been months and I only remembered having a fantastic time, in that moment. He tried to get something out of me, but I couldn’t think of anything, and it made me feel really awkward.
He’s a great guy and shouldn’t creep you out at all. He’s really interested in what we as the fans think about their shows and what they do and what can be done to make things even better.
Truthfully, Joe Walker will always make me feel more awkward just by my accidentally glancing in his general direction than Jim did the entire time I was talking to him.
Arggh all this Starkid stuff is making me want to move to America! I already wanted to go to Chicago for Second City, but…Why doesn’t awesome stuff like this happen in Australia!?
I’ll come next year, I promise.
